Are Test Tones okay on the system?

Well my box is tuned to 40 i think. What would you guys suggest i play? You think i shouldnt play any below 40? Why's that? Just trying to become smarter here...

my box is tuned to 35hz and i play 20hz...you just gotta watch the sub, and since i have a reg cab dakota thats not a prob, but the only reason i play 20hz is cuz i like to watch the sub move when i play it...and if i wanna shake alot of shit in my truck i usually play 28-30hz

no u can play below 40 but u will just be bottoming out your sub(s) unless you have a SSF on them..if i were you just play like 45-55Hz...should do justice

Whats in your reg cab dakota? Have you ever metered? I really want to get metered, i've always wandered what i would hit....what do you think i could hit, just a estimate?

What amp do you have?
*NVM* just read your sig...check if that amp has a SSF. If it does make sure its on and you shouldn't really worry about what tones you play. Just don't play them for a long time,
