Are RE SX and Magnum si d2 in the same class?

I've read alot of threads but wanted to know if the SX series from RE is the line of subs compareable to the Mangum si D2? Or is it the XXX series thats more compareable.

x2. the mag is a more sql oriented sub like the xxx whereas the sx is more spl oriented

Actually the SX is SQL oriented also. It just doesn't have the amazing SQ of its big brother the XXX, so people like to put it in the SPL category. If it was an SPL oriented sub only, RE wouldn't have replaced the HC, considered a SQ driver, with it. RE said they built the SX to be what they consider the perfect balance between SQ and SPL for 'street beating'. Yes that's somewhat marketing double speak, but clearly the sub wasn't designed just to burp.
