are my amps set correctly? (HPF and LPF)

okay so i'm really new at this and just finished installing everything, just had a question on my settings

i've got a 2 channel amp powering my front speakers and another 2 channel amp powering 2 12" subs

for the amp that powers the speakers i set it to HPF at 110

for the amp that powers the sub i set it to LPF at i think 60-70

in general are these okay? i've played around with them a bit but it's hard for me to figure it out

What are your front speakers? Comps? Active or passive crossovers?

I have front and rear comps with passive crossovers so I set the amp running these to no filtering as the crossover will handle the filtering and I don't like choking out the mids.

Low Pass Filter is good for the subs.

Don't most passive crossovers only low-pass the mids and high-pass the tweets, meaning there is not HPF filter for the mids? Setting a HPF on the amp would effectively bandpass the mids, allowing the subs to take care of the low end frequencies, which would allow the mids to perform better since they have a smaller range to play.

To OP: I would match the HPF for the comps and the LPF for the subs, meaning you should set the HPF to 70. You could probably get away with a small gap, but for the sake of simplicity, I'd set them both to ~75-80 and be done with it.

I set 'em to what sounds best to me...try 'em on different settings but when I select the HPF on my amp running to my comps, it takes a lot of the dynamic range out of my mids...so I don't filter my comps at all and let the crossovers take care of it.

ok in my opinion if you set your fronts freq to 110 you should set your sub amp to the same since the front amp will hit 110 and up the subs would hit 110 and down hence making it sound more full of life bro.
