Are multiple batteries good or bad for your eletrical system?

The issue I have is space for the back battery. A large one that can do about 2-3 k rms is waay to big for the back. A smaller one will not be able to take this much power and be useless (IMO).

With that in mind I was thinking about 8 small batteries in the back. Either

Stinger spv 20

Kenetic 600

Xs power D545

Either way these batteries all have about a 3 inch thickness. I can make some room by raising up my false floor 1 inch and providing a cutout section in the back area for these batteries.

But here is my question before I start. Will this many batteries be too much for my HOA ALT to handle? Are there any cons for using this many small batteries vs. ONE BIG ONE?

Have you looked into a High Output Alt?

So multiple small batteries in the back would be better? I did not know that. In my previous set up, I had to fit the biggest battery I could get under the hood in my supercrew because all available space I had available was taken up by the enclosure under my seat, and amps behind that seat. He did say that he had room for 8 small ones, so "more power to him".
