Are Ground loop isolators any good???

Read this sticky in electrical: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=198477

Also, before double checking grounds to amps and re-routing RCA's, you might want to hook a speaker that might be laying around directly to the HU (instead of through an amp) if that is easy for you to do. If you get the noise from a speaker directly attached to the HU then get rid of that noise BEFORE trying to troubleshoot anything connected via RCA cables.

I had a ground loop isolator in my car before. It covered up the rumbling sound but it took away ALOT of bass from my subwoofers. I found that out one day when I unhooked it to see if I could fix my ground or change it. Turns out the problem was my pioneer head unit that I used to have.

i have the same prob u have. and looks like the same car. 95 civic dx. im going 2 b workin on eliminating mine this weekend. the noise is present no matter what hu i use
