I have had all three amps you mentioned. I used the Art series amps for quite a few years back when they were current offerings from PPI. At that time they were probably better than anything else except maybe the Orion HCCA stuff. But I am of a different opinion than most of the people on this forum. The Art series amps were very cold and sterile sounding when compared to today's better quality amps.
I personally don't think a person can buy better amps than the XXK for the same money, and enjoyed mine for about a year ..... But have NO doubts , the SE amps from Zeff definitely have NO equals. This is coming from a dealer who sells Audison , Zapco , Tru , and Focal's new amps.
Comparing the SE and XXK amps , the SE has more spatial clues in every aspect of the soundstage , and is noticably more transparent. Everything sounds more "real" .... Just as that kind of price difference should very well give you.
For most people , the price difference probably can NOT be justified though.
