There is going to be a scarcity of ps3's at launch - Sony just announced that they are not doing a worldwide simultainous release, Europe and Australasia launch date has been postponed until march 07 b/c of lower production. as of 1.5 weeks ago Sony has not even produced unit #1 yet, they are blaiming the Blu-Ray makers now!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Besides, everything Sony has released, the 1st generation has been full of bugs - so those units you get on eBay for 1500 bucks = shytty machine. My advice - sit out the first run and wait for the 2nd production in the beginning of 07. A lot of games are not even being released until 07 sometome anyway.

Yes, in some aspect. But the chances are of a person having a tv capable of utilizing the ps3 to its full potential are almost nill. So you guys will be paying for "the best" in graphics which will look no better than a 360 just because you don't have an expensive TV because you blew all your money on a 600 dollar playstation.

there's a HUGE difference between the ps3 and 360.

there's 2 versions of the ps3 (just like the 360) one is $499 and the other is $599 (bigger harddrives).

yes there is the possibility of bugs in the first batch released (just like the 360).

and the gamestop by my house has had a pre-order list since like march for the ps3.

i still want one and i will probly end up getting one thru pre-order this time.

i sat outside best buy for like 14 hours waiting to get a 360 on launch day. dam that shit sucked. hella cold.

main difference will be price and the blu ray dvd player. you will be able to get a 360 and a wi plus a few games for each for the cost of the ps3 + a few games

cant say i want one, but then again i've never been a fan of the playstation 1 or 2. xbox has been the better choice for me thus far.
