AQ2200's are bulletproof!!1!!1

Theres no such thing as a bullet proof amp. That wire wore down due to vibration and finally shorted itself out. My aq2200 went down because of a solder joint that vibrated loose.

Lol. Give me a break. It was a joke. And besides, that wire didn't wear down. That little peice of paper came loose and there wasn't enough of that silicon on top of the torrid to keep it from grounding. I just thought it was pretty solid that it was still doing that much work.

Did you buy it straight from AQ? I bet they'd honor the warranty in this situation. They seem to be real good when it comes to customer service.

Even if you didn't, I bet they'd repair it for cheap.

Totally. When I opened it up it had two little pieces of paper glued to the inside of the cover for "insulation," I guess. Well, the glue melted or failed somehow and the paper was elsewhere inside the amp than where it should have been. You can see the one that fell off right in front of my subs and the other still on the cover in the video.
Meaning someone took the cover off and didn't put it back on properly.

I just opened up the case to my 1200D after reading this thread and I had to come back to reference what transformers on your amp were grounding out. Yep, the same thing in my case, I think I took the cover off and put it back on improperly. Luckily nothing happened to the amp in that time that I had the cover on improperly!
