AQ2200 at .5ohm ?

I would not recommend running that amp daily @ .5

hey if you need to go .5 on that amp your looking for like 3000 watt right?

I have a stetsom 2k5 that will do 3200 @ 2 ohms @ 13.4 or 13.6 volts i cant remember.

How many batts do you have?

Mine never go below 12.8ish full tilt

Ive had mine at .5 with no problems until i try to turn it up too much. I only have a stock alt and single battery though.

you have any idea what voltage its at when it shuts off ? and how much power do you think your gettin that way?

even if you put it at .5 with rise you should still be over 1ohm. just try it out and see just roll into the volume slow

You will be fine as long as you keep your voltage steady and above 12.5v when running at full tilt. Staying in the low 13's will ensure that the amp will not go into protect. Have a DMM on hand.

I use to have one @ .5 daily, took it like a champ but got warm/hot, so make sure its getting good air flow.

Ok i cant test it now cause im saving up for the equipment..(upgrading) but im planning on getting a pair of the Hdc12's and i was planning on running them at one ohm using the dual one ohm subs but i seen a lot of posts talking about running the aq2200 at .5 so i was wondering if i should just grab the dual two ohms and running them at .5 for more power if possible... i shouldnt drop below 13v im ordering a 250amp rhino alt. with a 150amp idle current... should i just get the dual two ohms and run at .5 ? or get the dual one ohms and run at one ohm?
