well i was planning on keeping my PCA-2000D and powering a monster 18". Any reccomendations on which one? and would i need an enclosure the size of my whole **** trunk? lol.

for most 18s you are going touse at least 3.5ft

for the $ the Fi Q would be a great choice

If that amp does a true 2K then the HDC318 would do well off that power. Around 5.5cubes tuned to 38-40Hz. I've also run them at 35Hz

Everyone mentions how high the AQ's are supposed to be tuned, but they will easily play lower then tuning.

My box is tuned to 38Hz and peaked at 31Hz. Obviously vehicle has a lot to do with it and the enclosure itself, but they are NOT fart box subs. They sound very good on music and will get LOUD with enough power to push them.

the HD's would take a lot more than the HDC's

although i havent used hdc's myself yet.

I recently switched from HD's to HDC's and I'm not sure I'd say the HD's will take a lot more. I'm giving the HDC's 3k each for daily and have played them for up to 15 min straight at full volume with no issues, so I'd say they're built pretty well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

measure your trunk opening first, i tried to do a 15 in my gf's 06 civic coupe, yeah it didnt fit
