I have I think the Sundown NS sounds better, but someone wanted was trying to say the AQ is more musical, I have heard people call the AQ a one note wounder and thats about what I heard as well. I have not heard one that sounded "good", loud yea but good and loud not yet..

The one I listened to was an 18" AQ in a CRX, I have 2 12 NS in my truck and switching over to a single 18" nightshade maybe..

But since I will have a single sub 18" setup I could buy an AQ to test out maybe, just buying 2 would of sucked if I hated it.. lol

I agree from what I have seen, motor seems smaller as well, but I do kind of like the cf or fake cf cone..
