i cant compare the AQ to the SA but i can compare the DD9515 to the NS...the NS sounded better and was louder!. the NS, did get 500wrms more or so but the box was smaller..and the DD was in a smaller suv

I plan on adding some 4 way 6x9s and about 14 tweeters in the front and 8 more in the rear.

I'll be getting another one of those amps once I got 2 of the 35 farad caps to help my voltage.

All I'm saying is those subs will do the same job for half the price.

ive played with both, in proper enclosures and the IMO the NS sounded better, was more accurate and responsive

Turd is unbiased and I say try and listen to an AQ setup and see if you like it. You have a NS, so you know what it can do. Maybe try some DC level 4s?

The copper AQ's will sound best musically but if enclosure size is an issue go with the NS.

I believe he did have a 32hz box at one time for Shades. He's had more boxes that I can recall using AQ and Sundown subs. I liked the one he had recently with the aeroports, but I can't recall the tuning.

DC's are what I was considering for next year.

I still say you should try and get a demo. Somebody in Orlando has to have one. Any upcoming meets? It will surely help more than word of mouth. All you will get from here is pretty much some biased reviews and posts like my first few.

I know Bizzle and I can say I've seen both brands in his truck.

BTW, I don't run the Boss......even I know better than that.

You could sell the DC and put that towards the HDC3s. They have decent resale value and people love them. Other than Bizzle's truck I have't heard many Shades. HDC3s, I've heard plenty. I even ran a 15 for a year. Loved it. Swapped it out this year for some DD9512s to save space in my trunk.

i have both the hdc3 is sittin in the closet rite now, had the hdc3 (copper) before i got my nightshade. and the nightshade sounds better, louder, and lower

the box i have was built for the aq too, which is way to big for the sd (look at sig)

i have heard both and really loved the nightshades...
