I would personally say the BL. Haven't heard the AQ though so don't only go by my recommendation.

i love my single sdc15, it can keep up with just everything and i listen to alot of rock too. it can also get very loud

The hifonics puts out about 900 rms and the AQ is pretty true to its 1200. AQ all day.

How do you know this? Have you tested both amps?

save a few more bucks and pick up a used SAZ1500 for $325-$350. you wont be disappointed.

The hdc3 would definitely want more power.

How do you know this? Have you tested both amps?

I was told by a Hifonics rep that they are overrated buy 200-300 RMS.

I have not tested the AQ, just heard that they are very efficient, and put out rated power.
