AQ SDC2.5 10 isnt loud...

So i got my Aq SDC2.5 10 D4 on Friday and ive broken it in all weekend free air with a 40hz sine wave and 1" excursion. i put it in its box today and it isn't that loud inside my car? i have a honda del sol and i made a trapezoidal box to fit behind the seats sub is facing forwards port to the side.

Its hooked up to a Aq 1200d at 2 ohms should be getting around 800 watts

My port might be f****** up...

The box is 1.8 cubes

3" Top depth

12" Botttom depth

33" width

18" height

1 - 4 inch pvc 13 inches long inside box should be around 36-37 hz (.08 displacement)

and the sub is probably .1 displacement

someone help me out im disappointed....

might be the box. or maybe try turning it to face the back

Make sure theres no leaks.

You box size seems a little big, after displacements its about 1.6 cu/ft, AQ doesnt even list box recommendations on their site- wtf.

They do list box recommendations, you just have to look harder.

They recommend 1.2-1.5 after displacments for the 10. I would also agree with previous posts, the box seems like it is the culprit. Either leaks, or poor desgn, or both

run 1.25 cubes tuned to 40hz with a 4 inch port u will be happy. these speakers dont like to be tuned low and even tuned to 40 they will still catch 32hz fine.

made the port smaller in length and reversed the box sounds sweet thanks guys!
