Very late coming back here but 2 things. 15 cu is actually quite small to run 3 L7 15s. Not that you couldn't get away with it, and not that it wouldn't be loud, but they really thrive in about 5-6 cu each after displacement.
Second, The only thing that has changed over the life of the L7 is the rigidity of the cone. With that said, cone mass has also changed, so the newest of the bunch will sound better on music, and be punchier, but the oldest model(s) will actually meter higher because there is less moving mass on the same motor and spiders.
Tested with both L7s and Solo Xs. Old versions meter better, new versions sound much more musical.
