AP15001D @ 2ohms. Might pick up a different amp though to give some more power.

Def. want more power they can be pretty power hungry...pick yourself up a second 1500 and run it strapped @ 2

I would but I don't think my electrical could handle a second another amp. I don't mind getting a bigger amp since I can get a HO amp for between $250-$300, but right now 1500w is the most I feel comfortable running on my stock amp. Really I don't want to run the wires for additional batteries. Can the AP even handle .5 daily?

what enclosure are you putting it in? You'll have 1500w at 2ohm for the sub?

I've run a LOT of 15" HDC set ups, but made the switch to 18's over the winter. Might go back to 15's next year....

OP ... the hdc3 is a great driver, as long as you match it up with the proper enclosure... they can get very loud, but do tend to be more on the SPL side then SQ

enclosure is going to be 4.5 ft^3 at 34hz. Eventually I will get a amp that can do 1500 @ 2 but for right now it's going to have to be ~950 @ 2. I was actually hoping for loud of SQ with this setup.

surreal designed me a great box for the HDC15 a-coils i was supposed to receive. its 4.3 cubic feet horn.

might want to check into that.

I hear good things. I heard...egh...felt, 4 18 inch HDC's, they were insane. I just read a quote about the hdc's that went like:

"Hdc's are a "holy fock...I can taste the bass" kind of sub"

So yeah, they r good.
