AQ 2200D Gold bass knob?

Bought a AQ 2200D

Had it for about 3 months now.

The bass control knob i suddenly realized is now gold?

It is in a spot where sun can get to it. But two months i thought it would take longer than that.

Its really odd looking and only the knob is gold no other part on the bass control is any different color other than black
