Alpine MRD-M1000 ???? thoughts, opinions, suggestions GO!

I can find all kinda stuff on the MRP's but not too much on this MRD the Alpine MRD-M1000 ????

might be picking one up - kinda iffy as I would like a little more north of 1000w at 2ohm and being cea 2006 compliant they are def rated at 14.4v as far as I can tell

like the extra features but not sure if they will be enough to drive me to buy the amp

picking it up for a decent deal - sub 250

um... yeah - if you read my thread title I was looking for "thoughts, opinions, suggestions" regarding that particular amplifier

It's a nice amp, yes. But I wouldn't pay $250 for it. It's large, not 1-ohm stable, and you can get better for your money.

actually getting it for around 200 but i'll just look else where for something 1500w at 2ohms still

Are you stuck looking for an amp that puts out that much at 2 ohms? Why not 1ohm?

problem is I already have subs - I could do a recone on my RE SE-XXX to make it dual 2 ohm but the concept sub (my one thats got the same motor as an RE HC) I'm really itching to use I'm not gonna recone unless I kill it and thats def only dual 4ohm

just really not wanting to spend the money on a recone when i could just put it into an amp or other stuff

add in I'd like to play with my DIYMA R12 still and most 1500w at 1ohm amps really **** at 4 ohms (fyi diyma r12 is 4ohm single)
