I was gonna say I thought DJ said himself on here neither are made by Zenon but they are made in Korea.Actually... neither one is made @ Zenon.
There are some differences - most notably on the input side of the amps.
Otherwise they do look strikingly similar, although, most Korea Class-D amps do look pretty similar.
On the car audio forums, AQ may be the boner brand. But Hifonics did not get to where they are today (compare the sales numbers of Hifonics to AQ) due to poor craftmanship or quality.I saw that thread also on realm of excursion and the funny part about it, at least to me, was that when this was brought up, it was the hifonics rep that was deeply offended that AQ was being compared to hifonics. As if the hifonics was by far the better brand.
Although I'd definately buy the AQ over the hifonics, just based on what I've seen from personal experience with hifonics amps (at least the brutus line).

Agreed... Iv'e ran 3 different hifonics amps in the past and never had any problems.
