If you're only running 1200W, a DC Level 3 with possibly one or two upgrades would probably be a better bet than a Level 4, since you probably won't see 1200W after rise and whatnot anyway. @mylows10 will know everything you need to know about DC, including any prices. Don't quote me, but a Level 3 15" should be right around your price point.

BL gets my vote. DC softparts have a bad rep lately and Fi has always treated me well

I'm sure either will treat you well. I like the look of the DC's more, if that counts for anything. I have DC ish now, I can't say anything bad about it. But I don't push my stuff like most here do.

I am so freaking torn right now. DC's have a serious cult like following, but I really don't want to get into that kind of cash. I feel like I really want the Q but I am afraid of if its going to hit the higher notes as well. That scares the crap out of me. Doing a swap and then losing my rock music. But the AQ's I cannot find ANY bad reviews on them and they are a screaming deal right now it seems. I just read they are not as low end monsters as the Q's or the DC's. I have ALWAYS wanted an FI Q for as long as I have been on this forum... UGH

Will the AQ get lower than my RE's?

I just got rid of the 15" Q in my wife's ride as it would not play high notes at all and she mostly listens to rock/metal. Will be replacing it with and 18" HDC or 2 15" SDC's.

The AQ's have a very tigth suspension and are very punchy which is excellent for rock music. The Q was bottom heavy and sounded muddy/bloated on a lot of songs and rolled off fast up top. I even tried a diff box that was a little smaller and tuned higher and it didn't help.

Do the 18" HDC in 6 cubes and tune around 35-36Hz and you'll be happy with it. It'll take that 1200watts ALL day long.

I have yet to hear an HDC in the correct enclosure sound like bad.
I never understood that stand point to be honest. No offense, but it is just not true.

I would take the SSA subs over them do to quality of the driver itself. Not really on the reproduced sound it makes.

Well music is music whether its country Tim McGraw Young Jeezy Nicki Minaj or prince!!! It's the screwed n chopped and decaf shiit that's not music.... :-/. Sq can and DOES come with any type of music
