Stop double posting lol last j saw the a q is a little over $300 so that's out of budget the u have to think about shipping your gonna pay around $30 or more to ship dc is far from an sq sub I would just stick with the q

Dc is a sq sub they were designed to do that first and they happen to get loud

Op you can't go wrong on anything mentioned but with dc you get more for the money imo better coil good soft parts etc either way i think you will get a good sub

Not from the cars I've sat in heard a ton of dc builds they were eh not much sq at all loud yea but they all use the same soft parts all American made so I wouldnt really see a difference there fi has tinsel lead issues so only reason I would even think of dc

A DC level 4 is 380 shipped.

An FI Q is 340 Shipped

Aq HDC3 is 262 shipped

IA Death Row is 400 shipped so thats a DEFF no go.

I am so freaking torn right now. DC's have a serious cult like following, but I really don't want to get into that kind of cash. I feel like I really want the Q but I am afraid of if its going to hit the higher notes as well. That scares the crap out of me. Doing a swap and then losing my rock music. But the AQ's I cannot find ANY bad reviews on them and they are a screaming deal right now it seems. I just read they are not as low end monsters as the Q's or the DC's. I have ALWAYS wanted an FI Q for as long as I have been on this forum... UGH

Will the AQ get lower than my RE's?

Aq makes a good sub for sure get a good box made think you'll be fine . Those are all good subs mentioned just was giving my preference from personal experiences

I am 90% into FI right now over everything else. I like the Havoc, but the FI Q and BL is cheaper due to free shipping. I like the looks of the FI's WAY more than the Havoc as well.

From what I am reading, I think the HDC3 is more SPL vs SQ?

Fi = internet direct sales

AA = dealer based sales

But yes the guys at Fi own AA

Lets just say this, I would NEVER own an HDC3 with the stock softparts sounds like **** and they are cheap too.

Another good one to throw in there would be the ICON from SSA, It sounds to me that you just want a daily sub... SQ + SPL is an oxymoron, the intent of SQ is to reproduce music at the same volume over all frequencies, SPL = just loud.

A daily sub is a loud subwoofer that doesn't sound like poop doing it.

99% of the people who are in the debate over the Q and BL should go with the BL... Not saying the Q won't get loud, but you would be probably suited with the BL.

Between Fi, AA, and SSA you cannot be set wrong... The subwoofers are great, Customer service is great, and the guys doing it are doing all the machining in house, assembling in house. They are not outsourcing everything.. IIRC they are the only ones using domestic steel for the backplates.. Etc

I never understood that stand point to be honest. No offense, but it is just not true.

I would take the SSA subs over them do to quality of the driver itself. Not really on the reproduced sound it makes.

Don't know about any ties between AA and Fi, besides being manufactured in the same town...others here may know about that, and I guess the traditional style dust cap may be appealing to the eye. IMO, the superior build of the AA Havoc vs. the Fi Q wins hands down...so much more to it than looks..

AB/AQ are built in the same build house and share many "similar" parts.

I've heard more than a few and have NEVER been impressed with them, especially with the stock softpart config. They sound extremely hollow, we did a direct swap with my XCON 10's in my friends ride and it sounded 20x better.

of all the subs mentioned here of similar abilities, 99% of the actual sonic differences concerning sub bass frequencies (below 80 hz) will be in the box design.
