AQ 15 VS prefab box

I was driving back to my boss's shop to clock out from work today, while driving I notice a slapping noise coming from the rear of my car. I just figured it was the trunk glass in my blazer just moving around. I got to the shop opened my trunk and replayed the song to figure out if it was indeed my trunk making the noise.

Turns out my sub was hitting hard enough to shake loose the face of the box. The only thing keeping the bottom on is the carpet on it. So i have learned the hard way to not buy a prefab box, thus AQ 15 > Audio Enhancers Jug15S box.

One good thing is that Ami creations is building me a new box for it =)

$140 for the box. gonna go back to the shop and ask them about the box cause it seems like it was only glued at the bottom cause if it was screwed it wouldn't have done that. ill try to post pics if i can.

Carpeted just sucks cause its sorta worthless now, only thing i can do is toss in a two braces and and some screws to it. just wondering when box builders put on the face of a box they put it on the out side corners of the box right? cause it seems they put the face on the inside of it.

OP what kind of box do you need for your 15? I have a single 15" upfiring sealed box i would sell, prewired with 14g wire and gold binding terminals. No carpet though. Its a little over 2 cubes sealed. If you are shopping for one let me know

My Diamond Audio 15 tore up an Xscorpion box. With out hitting that hard. I didn't even have rms going to the sub.
