So currently i have 4g power from batt to trunk into a distro block that puts it into 2 8g wires. Would 8g be ok to push an aq 1200d?

i wouldnt but thats me i have the same amp, i had 4ga it worked good now im at 0ga and its even better

the aq has 4g terminals for a reason, never under-do it, its better to over-do it

the problem is. Its a pain in the as$ to run another run of 4 g through my car, And 0g is so dam expensive

like literally, i could not fit another run of 4g throguh my car. There is no room left in the panels when they already have 2 sets of speaker wire, 4g power wire on 1 side, and remote wire on one side. And 3 sets of rcas, and 2 sets of speker wire on the other side..

Why would you have to do another run? Just run 4 gauge from the distro to the amp/amps..

buy a new distro and junk that one lmao.

or make your own, bolts and nuts come in handy, just get a piece of board, put 3 bolts in it, 1 for the main power run to get bolted down to, then the others to branch your amp wires to, then stick an ANL fuse between the input wire and output wire bolts, so its fused as well

it has 2 4/0g in/out and 4 4/8g out, its in my pics in the other thread about my amp rack

so then i can run 8g still to my speaker amp? And 4g to my other amp. Btw i didn't even get the aq yet, im still doing research on it. Ill be getting an aq 1200d and an aq sdc2.5 and feeding it around 800 watts daily i hope.. If you cared lol. Thats for about 2 months from now though. Currently unemployed. And my brother is gonna buy my old setup off me in 2 months.

yes, each in/out hole has a sizer in it, the 2 inputs can be either 0g or it has a 4g adapter for 4 g wire, and the 4 outputs have holes for 4gauge, or an adapter in them to fit 8g idk how else to explain it lol, look at my pics, i have 0 gauge going in through the top input, 4 gauge coming from the bottom in/output and then 8gauge coming out of the left output.

ya i understand. Idk if i could run a run of 0g through my car though. Its cramped as hell as it is, and idk anything about running under carpet.

you dont need to run 0g, i did just cuz, lol you can use your 4g with it
