Approximate cost to deaden

the entire truck or just the trunk lid?

also depends on what you are going to use

if you really wanna do it right and do it once

use second skin. The second skin is just awesome. I used some edead and it just doesnt compare. Even the new edead didnt come close. I did my entire floor, hatch area, and rear quater panels with 2 layers for about $350, but man does it make a differance. My car is so quiet inside. Its kinda scary at times.

Is this something I can study how its done on here and apply it myself?

its easy to put down but the prep work is where the sweat comes in

if I was you id measure and make sure you have enough ,then get about 10sq ft more

Id take out the carpet and any surrounding materal. Seats, carpet on the floor, everything but the wires.

Clean up the floor board with some kind of cleaner ,simple green works well.

Let that dry up then start

Took me a good 2 days to take everything out, clean it, put in deadner, then put everything back in.

Take your time and do it right one time

It took me two days to take my entire Blazer apart and deaden the entire interior...shouldn't take you more than 2-3 hours to do the trunk of a mustang. One roll of RAAMmat BTX should do it. Total cost ~ $120 shipped

First, the rolls are only 62.5 sqft //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif And second, no, I was commenting that that is all he needs for the trunk of a Mustang. I did two rolls of BTX in my Blazer w/ 9 yards of Ensolite. Even with that, I could use more, however it has significantly helped with the resonating panels, and you don't hear the subs nearly as much outside the vehicle (which was my goal - i'm not an asshat).

I appreciate the suggestion for Second Skin!

Looks like we are doing something right.

For the trunk of a Mustang, I suggest going with about 40 sq feet of vibration mat.

Which one you use depends on how well you want to treat the problem.

Raammat is a good budget product. Lots of people use and love the BXT material that Rick sells. Plus he is a great guy to deal with.

Regardless of which product you choose, feel free to call me with any questions
