Incorrect, even at the age of 18 you still are subject to the rules of the administration/classroom. At 18 you can choose to drop out, or you can choose to be subject to the rules of the school, you can't be in between

Exactly, leaving just shows how close minded you truly are. At least listen and see if he has any valid points. If not at least you know you don't want to be like this guy and sill do your best not to be.

But why should public school kids be forced to sit and listen to a guy talk about it when teachers aren't even supposed to voice their opinion in class? I don't see the difference...

lol I would like to see these 5 foot women try and whip me. We have like...maybe 10 guy teachers at my school.

I don't think it was an act of defiance. If they wanted to make things defiant they would have left anyway without permission. They didn't, they stood there and stayed in the gym, continuing to plead their case.

Weird, can't pray in class but you can have forced political beliefs? Something is wrong here. ^^^^ he beat me to it.

Ultimately, in today's society I think if your a high school student you should have the right to get up and leave (quietly). You do not have to sit through anything that you deem unacceptable. We expect more out of youth now than in the past. More information is readily available.

I'm not even saying that I think people should be or should not be allowed to pray in school. But if it is not allowed, why is politics? Religion and politics are very similar in that regard.
