anybodydo a bench test on it? does it perform as the same as the 1500?

I use to run one for awhile on my re ax then my fi bl. I thought it did great for the money. I then upgraded to the ap1500. I just came back from my local car audio shop were my friend got his audiopipe3000 clamped and the results were not good. Got just under 1600 watts.

Ew that means our AP1500D is only putting out 800 watts. =\

Oh come on again? Go on youtube and search for vids of actual output power from the Ap30001d, there are tons of discussion of these amps here too so don't be lazy and go search for them. If you're getting only 1500~1600 watts from the ap30001d then that means you have an impedance rise to over 6 ohms.

I can sit here and give proof all day but this is like trying to convince Christians that the world is not only 6000 years old. I have an AP30001D, it does a sh!tload of power(more than my two Recoil RED 1000.1 combined) but hey maybe mine's made by unicorns and soaked in baby seal's blood.

If you're still concerned then go get a new Sundown 1500, it'll cost you about 500 bucks.

never said i wanted to buy it. reading does wonders

i have one atm but havent got around to clamping it. i picked it up because of the small footprint.
