Loud is rather subjective. In my experience, my obsidian + Audiopipe setups have definitely made people cringe and complain. First was an oa12/apsm1300, now it's an oa15/ apsm1500. While they aren't spectacular by any means, they blow the average prefab enclosures that most people seem to be accustomed to out of the water.

I agree with the above, for beginner equipment, AP is far and away a much better choice than the usual amps that people purchase. same with obsidian, they're not special, but they're cheap, they'll take more power than pretty much any sub in that price range.

That being said, now, I would not really consider buying any AP amp since I can afford better (even if only marginally)
