**** aol virus?

i know this has nothing to do with car audio at all, but did any of you get that **** worm virus? well i did bc my sis clicked on that dumb link from her friend, and now everytime i goto talk to someone, it comes up on my screen and i didn't even type it. I just wanna know how to get rid of this.

You need to get antivirus software, or if you know what the name of the infected file is, you can delete it using the registry editer.

Ctrl + Alt + Delete and find the Worm virus running and shut it down...also try Start - Find - Files or Folders and type in the name of the virus and delete all files associated with it.

Well im a computer tech if antivirus software dosent work reformat in DOS mode that would work.

You can really back anything unless you know what is infected by the virus by backing up you mite infect the the drive after the format also, Its better if you just format all.

well formatting everything without backing anything up would definitly be a last, last resort....I was under the impression most of these email worms floating around were fairly easily removed....I removed the kazaa worm from my computer with ease (all 20k copies)

get a copy of norton with up to date virus definitions, restart in safe mode, and run a full system scan
