Anyone worked on a 99 Jetta before??

This is my first time working on a Jetta. I have had mostly Japanese cars before and I am looking for some hints on how to work on it. I am planning on running power to the trunk for my amp, and cutting the rear deck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
