Anyone with JL 12W4 experience?

i had a 10"w4 that was in a jl-built bandpass box about 9 or 10 years ago.

the 12" i think had an rms of 200 watts. around a 11mm x-max, worked in 1.25 sealed and around 2.0 ported. i finally put my 10 in a ported box and gave it about 400 watts. sounded good.

dose yours still have the factory foam on it?

Had 2 w4's in a Q-loqic bandpass box with a profile amp, went to contest and hit a 139.1 with those, that was long ago, when I didnt know anything about car audio, but they lasted forever

thanks for the info guys. And,the sub is practically brand new. Never seen power. I think the guy told me that it was a display model but never powered up. Thing is,one is single 4ohm and the other is dual 4ohm.
