i had 1 18" BTL powered my a ZX2500.1 in my old expedition.

2 fully loaded 15's in a 9.5 ft^3 enclosure tuned to 32hz, ran off of 2 ia 20.1's. had them strapped at 1 ohm, so roughly 5k watts is where my gain was set.

2 btl 18's in a 12 cubed box tuned to 33 off a saz-3000d. only one because of electrical. was going to put 2 on there but electrical wasn't up to par.

Thermally no, Mechanically yes. Cone slammed into the basket because we were playing at 30hz. If we had a 18 without the limitations of the 12" 12 spoke hard to tell what would have happened.
