ok so i just bought myself and re se 12" lastnight and im needing a box. i was thinking of a box thats about 2^3 around 30hz i believe. the re site says for a single, which is what im going w/ needs a 2.5^3 at 35hz sql but when you goto sq/sql volumes it says the se 12" ported needs only 1.5^3 at 32hz sql. and the design for the 2.5^3 at 35hz only gives 4 dimensions. if anyone reads this and has about the same tuned box as i want, would you care to give me the dimensions of the box so i can start building. im new to slot ports and i still dont understand the portwall building/tuning all that well.

I sell plans for a low price and I can design you something that would work very nicely with your SE //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

how much would you charge me for a design for my se? and what kind of design would you prefer for someone who has an ext. cab s10 that listens to a lot of hardcore music ie:as i lay daying, throwdown, trivium, something w. double bass and some rap music? ill most likely be running a directed audio 1500d amp on this sub.

ok so im thinking of going w/ a sealed enclosure first to test things out. re recomends a 1.0 cu ft sealed enclosure for the re se 12". i was on 12volt.com an came up w/ the following.........

width = 14.1

height = 14.1

depth = 14.1

thickness = .74

internal volume = 1.15762

sub displacment = .15

would this work out to get the internal volume to 1.0 cu ft after the .15 cu ft sub displacment for my re se 12"?

i cant seem to make a new thread anymore so for my question above i need to get answered. no one seems to really pay attention to this one so i figure i would make a new thread for people to see but it wont allow me to make a new thread. it tells me a fatal error has occured. so please someone help me out.

I would go ported with that SE, they are not overly loud ported and @ 32hz have great SQ and sealed is not loud at all and the SQ is not much different from the ported box.

i have a 12 re se...its ok...bottoms out real easily...guess amp too powerful //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i like the bass from my e8as better.....one man one opinon

i know the re se 10" can get pretty loud in a sq enclosure. 1.35 cu ft @ some like 25Hz will give you low *** bass while keeping excursion under control.

i would have to calculate the se 12", but im sure it will get just as low just a hair louder. with a stronger thump. its also depends on what amp youre going to use and how much space you actualy have avalible for the box.

to figure that up you would look at the internal specs and multiply length x width x dept /1728. From that if you get 1.15762 and you subtract .15 for woofer displavement and get 1cu then your good.

Now my personal opinion would be to get with one of the designers on here and get a design. Youll have to give them all of the info as far as HOW much space youhave and take good measurements, maybe pics, but their pretty good. Power offers designs for 9$ something and moe designed mine in like thirty minutes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif (I **** on port tuning :p)

good luck
