i found some stuff called vexmat and its looks about the same as dynamat extreme. however its half the price. anyone ever use it or know more about it?

From the price I would suggest Second Skin....AND you wouldnt have to take the chance.

Just a quick note about this stuff. We actually brought this in as our "house" brand. It's made by the same manufacture Stinger uses for the Expert line. I posted the techincal specs with each one on our site http://www.darvex.com . I have personally used it and have been pleased with the results. I even did my dog's "HUGE" metal food bowl to cut down on all the noise when I feed her. Anyway, if you need some major specs, check out the actual manufacture Novicon. They make dampening material for several of the guys selling this material. You can probably go direct if you don't mind buying 2500 sq feet or so.

They are very vague bout the product itself. And when I actually did find some specs bout the product, the temp range they recommend implies it is not butyl rubber based, but is instead asphalt.
