Anyone have any experience with the Alpine KTP-445

Its an in line amp you plug into your wire harness for 45 x 4 RMS.

never used it personally.looks like an easy way to add a bit more power to your setup. Its supposed to be class d. 4 x 45 watts rms in that size package is cool but i don't know how i feel about mounting it behind the dash. I don't imagine it gets too hot but i'd prefer to give my amps some room to breathe. I'd also like to see some internals of it as the size of it almost screams that it uses small amplifier chip ic's instead of individual power supply and output devices which I would prefer to stay away from. You live just up the road from me!

oh yeah haha.. im actually in marshall.. someone told me that it wouldnt work as good cuz the power going to it is 10 amps and it uses 15

You could run a seperate power and ground wire to it if you want to get the full output of it. by the time you do that though you may as well just run a real amp in my opinion.
