Anyone use an IDA-X001 with PXA-H701 ??

Understood. Ok so for full control, gotta use the controller..

This unit will "connect" to the H701, I guess via AInet (analog).

I was wondering if anyone that had done this.. how'd it sound vs going fiberoptic with a DVD unit?

I'd bet it wouldn't work.. If a guy could get an optic digi-out from the thing, $50 says there's probably some proprietary stuff in the signal the H701 might be expecting... Man if someone tried and it worked.. I'd be sending them one to mod in a heartbeat.

WOW, I thought it was a 'remote' kind of controller! ouch! Price isn't too bad, at least what you could theoretically get it for...but a custom install is in order...hmmm....glove box, custom mount panel, custom installed iPod next to it...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

the c701 controller is about the same size as an HU's faceplate, width & depth, so it can be fairly easy to mount somewhere other than in an available din spot.

an h701 the heart of my system.

I have the H701 mounted in the din area above my asktray in my Mazda3, looks good. Made a custom mount panel.

Pretty cool.. I can't tell the model number of head unit you're using.. I'd guess you're running optical to the 701. If you are not running optical but analog, how is it?
