From what I hear, the .270 is teh deer hunting cartridge of teh moment. You should have found some shells that not many people know (.338 Lapua Magnums, .45-70, .454 Cassull, .500S&W, .50AE, .278, other African hunting rounds, etc. I know the .45-70 is a common bear round. No wonder why though, freaking huge energy transfer, even 500+ yards out.....

That is only one of the reasons why, would you like for me to list the rest of the reasons that I own guns?

And whats the difference what reason I have for owning firearms? If I want to own them only for the fact that I can, that's my choice. I will be turning 21 in a few months and I will be getting a permit to carry. Want to know why...because I can. It is my right. I highly doubt that I will ever have to use it and I hope that I never do, but I am still going to get it.

Actually its not a long range round at all. The 7mm I had in the pic has over twice the energy at 500 yards than a 45-70. A 270 even has 100 ft-lbs more at that range.

and I only used those because that is what I had sitting on my desk at the moment.
