my son has a bunch in his car and he seems very happy with it. Honda CRv that is pretty much rattle free expect for some of the larger plastic panels in back. Did a 151.8 over the weekend at a show...

same as any other run of the mill 60mill+ deadener probably. Its just butyl rubber and aluminum stickers get wherever its cheapest and thickest.

I've used AT 80mil on a few builds and it doesn't stick all that well. Coming off the roof on both vehicles. They were cleaned with acetone before installing...

Did you use a heat gun and roller? Mine stays just fine, no signs of peeling anywhere

Of all the types the at i used was significantly less sticky as well and ive used dozens of mats

Did you use a heat gun and roller? Mine stays just fine, no signs of peeling anywhere

Ive never used a heat gun and always roller ..but i havent had any coming.loose but then again none is mounted vertical ..if.just feels alot.less tacky right.off the bat

Now that you said something, it did seem a tad less sticky. It has been holding up fine though.

Ya, I heat gun every inch. couldn't peal mine off even if you tried lol

AT deadener is cheaply made...

Side note: American Bass mat is the same as Alphasonik mat.... And a lot of others. Most of it comes from the same chinese buildhouse, just pay attention to the aluminum and butyl thickness

Roller yes, heat gun no since it was about 90degress outside...

Heatgun heats it up alot hotter than 90 degrees, you're supposed to melt it to your car, not just roll it on, you won't even get the full deading effect the way you did it...

A heat gun isn't necessary unless you're using crappy deadener or live in a cold area. The butyl adheres just fine as long as proper pressure is applied.
