Anyone still listen to Metallica?

Ok so im sitting in my third period listening to this hard rocker kid who claims to be in a band talking about music and Metallica comes up and he's like "oh Metallica is dead they dont have anything left". So yes, I agree they are old but no one can just say they completely fell off because I know I still listen to them.....I mean this kid fiddles on his guitar everyday claiming he has been playing for 3 years and is nowhere near as good as he wants to be and it sounds like he just picked it up and was goofing around... when someone asks him to play a song he always says his little amp is way too loud? from time to time...i grew up in body shop, Metallica is like one of those band your programmed to enjoy...i hate to sound cliche, but their older stuff is pretty untouchable, a few of their newer projects are good as well, but anything after 98 is kind of hard to stomach...IMO

St anger was a huge dissapointment for me. the only thing "new" that I have listened to lately was the song called "ecstasy of gold" which is pretty good. Other than that I still listen to their older stuff because its by far some of the best rock of all time. especially their albums master of puppets, ride the lightning and kill em all. Without metallica half the bands out now would be nothing. They are part of the foundation of rock music today

When I'm in the mood. Some songs off Load and Reload are very good, lyrically and musically. It's just too bad the albums are full of a bunch of shit.

It's just that there new album is so horrible. It's not even close to the talent they used to have. I still listen to older Metallica all the time, I had S & M the other day actually.
