Has anyone used this amp in an install yet? Little 2k compact amp from skar. Price point seems pretty legit and tested well from the video below

Reminds me of Audiopipe, but whatever, for the price you can't go too far wrong.

Yes. I'm running at 4 ohms though.

Amp went into protect once--- dont know why. Wasn't even up loud.

Eventually came out.

Have to turn the gain up quite a bit more than the mb quart da2400.1 I replaced it with.

I'll withhold judgement for a few weeks and see how it does longer term.

Friend has one powering 6 vvxv3 8's and for the money its a decent amp. Replaced a powerbass 1500 that failed. Non strappable makes it mehh in my eyes.

The orion 1500xtr being a budget amp imo is best power for money. $209 for well over rated is my choice.

I'm still using the rp2000.1

I'm getting 65+ volts at 4 ohms.

Have not clamped speaker outputs yet.

DC current draw at 4 ohms is very low.

Gain set to half right now.
