any running some 5 Ways? what kind are u running. I was talkin to my friend about his old system and he had 4 6x9 5ways, it sounded hella good and hella loud, but do u think its necessary to have 4 5ways? what speakers could match up with 4 5ways, what i mean is what speakers have the abilty to be as loud and clean as 5ways.

....these were pioneer speakers he had, if that helps any. thanks.

Probably any speaker that doesn't rely on the marketing gimick of a 5 way speaker? For components, 3 way is enough. Beyond that you are just adding needless crossover points, especially if they are coax.

Look at the specsheet on a set of 5-way speakers.

Some of the drivers included in that count are designed to reproduce frequencies considerably beyond the average range of human hearing.

It's a marketing gimmick, friend. Hopefully one you will not fall for and waste money on...

Edit: T3mpest beat me to it...

I have some phase liner power 8-way 7x10" bi-crossover speakers. They're halla tight!
