Anyone pulling hair tricks in a new Mustang?? Or atleast have a system...

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I've seen my share of ricers wrapped around utility poles too as a result of their stellar driving skills:laugh:

i have a 94 and if i can keep it ( parked it, it was FS) im going to wall it off and put 2 or 3 AQ 18's in there on 2-3K each. i had an older mic in mine with the spl on the back seat and it read 149.4 at the dash i switched it around up firing was the loudest.

I don't know where you guys are pulling these MPG numbers from, maybe from your ***, but you are not getting almost 30mpg on a GT mustang, sorry, keep dreaming.

I don't even get it with my Focus ST when it was stock.
I saw a 2003 Mach 1 that managed to get in the 30s in a Modified Mustangs magazine. It had some work done to it to get it there though.

As for my 2006 GT, that 3:73 rear end lets me get between 24 and 26 MPG on the highway:( My 1997 Civic EX Coupe gets 36 MPG or better on the highway, so I take that vehicle when I have to work out of town to get my mileage reimbursement:veryhapp:

my stang floats right under 32 mpg going 60, 25 isnt to hard even close to 80.

Its a manual 3 valve. Its rated at 27 highway... Nearly any car can get above EPA if you drive it right, now if im having fun in it, it drops, but crusing on the highway i can get 25-30

No it don't. Maybe in a streatch of road you will see it, but over all when said and done, it won't be over 30, which is what I thought we were talking about.

My buddy has a 2006 GT and a little work done to it and it gets a little over 20 on the highway at normal driving on a good day. City he is in the mid teens and driving normal.

I have a ton of friends who have had older/newe stangs and never got over 30, unless serious work was done to improve the mileage like Gunz said.

My only problem is if I did what it took to get my car in the 30s, I would be abusing the additional horsepower created by the modifications. That usually involves porting and polishing the heads, intake, headers, exhaust, spark plugs, coil overs, and a different tune. I am sure a 6 speed with a 3:23 or 3:27 rear end would help too but then I would need a supercharger or a turbo to make up for my loss of low end power.

got a system in my mustang, its not a new one though, its a foxbody.. 91 lx.

4 12" kicker l7's, with an alphasonik 800hca amp..

Wait, dudes actually buy V6 Mustangs?HU - Alpine CDA-9885

Mids/Highs - Four Infinity Kappa 682.7cf

Subwoofer - JL Audio 13w6v2 (in the Stealthbox)

Amplifier - Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life Power 1000 5 channel

All Stinger wiring!
Nice setup. I've been drooling over that 13w6v2 in the stealthbox...I'll probably shell for it eventually..once my suspension, supercharger, driveline and other projects are done lol.
