Ive got a 07 gt and i really want to get a better system then ive got in my accord.

My accord has a 12" kicker l7 and 750.1 kicker amp. It hits nice, but not as hard as i want.

Ive already bought some pioneer 6x8s for my doors and rear deck. Id have loved to get some more infinity 6x9s like my accord because i love them, but i dont want to have to cut my doors plus these were a christmas gift.

So im thinking ill get the shaker doors and put 2x 8s in the doors plus 2x 12" l7s where my rear seats are or in the trunk. Id love to take out my rear seats and do a glassed wall type thing, but might not be the best idea for me.

Anyone got a nice system in their mustangs or seen any? Not talking shaker 1000s...

Ultimate goal = hair tricks

Very limited space in those cars.

I had to do this when i worked at a local shop.

yeah i know...

Thats why im trying to decide if i want to take out my seats and run 2x 12s or just leave them in (practical) and have one in the trunk taking up all the room.

Maybe when i get started wiring, ill jsut wire enough to reach the trunk, and sit my box in the trunk and the cabin see if its even worth it.

How much would a setup like what you posted cost to get done at a shop assuming i have an amp and sub already?

Generally it's done for display vehicles.
Guys that spend a lot of time at car shows.
yeah if you see some of the cars at mustangforums.com you will notice alot of them are show cars. The new mustangs are sexy as hell if you know what your doing. Wish i wasnt a 19 y/o... Well, wish i wasnt making a 19 y/o's wage.

With show cars, its gotta have that extra "bling" i guess... Im just in it for the bass plus a clean look. No need for tvs everywhere.

Wait, dudes actually buy V6 Mustangs?

I would rather have a supercharged Mustang GT with forged internals and a sound system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Then again, by the time I get everything straight with my house, the Government will probably say I don't need a V8 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif OR figure out a way to get additional blood money out of me for owning a V8 over a smart car.

ETA: As for hair tricks, forget about it in a Mustang unless you do like Dave Damage and wall yours with a couple of 18s. Currently, my soon to be scrapped system in my 2006 Mustang GT consists of the following:

HU - Alpine CDA-9885

Mids/Highs - Four Infinity Kappa 682.7cf

Subwoofer - JL Audio 13w6v2 (in the Stealthbox)

Amplifier - Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life Power 1000 5 channel

All Stinger wiring!

My first planned revision is to take the Infinity Kappas out and torch them with homemade thermite because they **** that bad and take my front stage active. I am going to pull the Shaker 500 "subwoofers" and amps out, and replace them with some Mach5 Audio MLI-65s. In the door location of the factory 6x8, I plan to install a tweeter of some sort, probably some leftover Alpines from another scrapped project, and I will use my Coustic XM6 crossover for my signal processing.

My next planned revision will be to replace the CDA-9885 with a CDA-9887, and probably the Alpine Tweeters with some Seas Neos or some other wide range tweeter.

I will never understand dudes actually buying them for themselves, but I know dudes said they wanted mustangs and their parents bought them the cheapest(what they thought t0 be) safest alternative.

150 in a non-walled stang? you are god

i had a wall, with 4 earthquake Ls 15's and im sorry to say i had to lower myself to useing 2 1000d's to do it:(.just not enough room for a good box build,a guy on termpro forum done 50's with a no wall but im not sure on power or what subs

Uh, the new V6 Mustang is almost as fast as the previous generation, unmodified Mustang GT. The only problem then, as well as now is to find an "unmodified" Mustang GT:laugh: The prior owner of my 2006 GT changed out the suspension and exhaust. I HAD a premium fuel tune, but the jackholes at Ford erased it when they did the airbag recall.
