if your computer is usb2.0 compatible it will have powered usb ports and be able to run the passports

used one for a little over a year, and had no issues.

edit: it was black though

as long as your computer has USB 2.0 ports, how old is your laptop?

I have a lot of customers that use those portables and never have any issues. I'd recommend WD.
