what would be a better option the cheap 200amps on ebay or get my stock rebuilt id it can be built that high?
So you have had good experience from the powermax stuff? I was thinking of doing it, but was skeptical since they are so cheap...well i believe that most HO alternators are that way. and most HO's are from stocks then rewound.
but really mine is crappy @ low rpms also. but above 1000rpms it works pretty well. a smaller pulley on the alt, will improve this though
Most of the higher end alt companies build their alts to have higher than normal output at idlewell i believe that most HO alternators are that way. and most HO's are from stocks then rewound.

You forgot excessive amperage. Nathan is a stand up guy, and builds some mean alternators.https://www.dcpowerinc.com/Welcome to Ohio Generator
Welcome to Mechman!
these are the best and yes there is a difference in alternators and quality. I would only buy from these guys
