since at the end of the day you have to pay full MSRP on the truck and all taxes on the car,, you are getting nothing better than what is essentially a pretty good deal on two cars.

Nothing but false economics to try to get people to go out and buy. Stupid though because it still does not solve the problem of people not being able to get credit to buy these cars. And the people with straight up cash or excellent credit would probably not even buy these cars, but cars in a much higher classs instead.

Also this ad has been talked about on CNN all day..

People who buy cars outright do not necessarily buy expensive cars.

try paying insurance every month on 10 of them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
shit i hate paying for 1 lol.even with no fault i have to pay 1200 a year. that may not be much compared to others but in 2 years i pay more for insurance then i paid for the car.

i wonder if the ram 1500 2 door for 10,995 is loaded up?
no way

ive seen the trucks that are on special

no power locks, no power windows, not even carpet on the floor, plastic instead of chome colored grill, and probably a manual *****

your basically buying a really really cheap work truck

Tough times, when they are trying to get rid of trucks.

Not to mention Dodges reliability issues on their transmissions (RAM trucks in particular). My Dads skips 2nd gear, and I know a couple other guys that had to get warranty work on their RAM before even hitting 50,000 miles.

very true, i sold my (paid off) Lexus GS300 and bought a 2007 HHR and invested the rest. I kept my Ranger for heavier duties and also have a beater car for various around town duties during campaign times because volunteers tear up your other cars.

my girl also has great credit at 792 and a $60K+/year job, but we are looking at buying something like an Altima, Camry, or Malibu depending on the market value of each.

best to believe i will pick up a new Malibu over an Altima or Camry if their prices fall below $15K for a decently loaded model. at this rate they might do that very soon.

BTW, i posted about this very scenario a few weeks back and the sales we were having locally. the Nissan dealerships have been offering a free 2 year lease on an Altima if you purchase a Titan. not too bad considering they were only charging $24K for a nicely loaded Titan. The Altima was not too shabby either. It was not the "3.5S" version but it was nice. i considered it, but my HHR gets filled up twice a month and i can lug around almost anything a truck can for light or medium use. my ranger handles the rest
