so i needed an extra required writing course to graduate and the only one available w/o prereq's was this history of opera 300 level course...

i've never cared about opera before but i've noticed that these singers have pretty amazing vocal talents...

i threw in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice act III and it sounds pretty amazing in my car...

really makes nice speakers worth having...

not much bass but the vocals and highs are very nice in a good system...

anyone else out there listen to opera?

I do not listen to opera.. but if you like opera, get this song:
Koopsta Knicca - No Action........ it ****ing wangs & has an amazing beat.
cool man thanks...

opera with bass would kick even more @ss...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

like i said, i've never listened to opera before this class and i don't expect to become a cult listener but i'll probably keep a song or two for sq purposes...

Opera, classical, baroque, etc.. If you are really a lover of music you need to appreciate it all. What passes for R&B is about the only thing I have little to no respect for these days. It all sounds the same and it seems to all be throw-away remakes of great country songs.

yeah i hear ya...

i appreciate any and every music genre that is pleasing...not like some haters who hate a certain genre (country, opera, jazz) for no stupid reason...

I never really appreciated it, but I certaintly don't dislike it. Most movie soundtracks rock, and are composed mainly of Opera.... I say more power to ya for broadening your horizons!!!

This is going to be soooooo cheezey, so be prepared......

.....does the fat lady really sing at the end, or is that a myth?

I love everything from classical (instrumentals) to bluegrass but I cant stand to listen to Opera with a woman as a vocalist.

Dont know why! Maybe I was molested by one as a child?

I still have respect for the vocal skills though!

Carl Orff's O Fortuna from 'Carmina Burana' shakes the hell out of things...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The opening of the original cast recording of The Phantom of the Opera has plenty of low bass, but I don't know if it counts as an "opera".

the 3 tenors...thats about all i know of opera

if it is as well recorded as some jazz and classical albums it really doesnt matter what it is. on a great system it will still take you away to magical music land
