I'm pretty sure thats peak-to-peak. One-way linear excursion is a more important figure, and is what xmax is really supposed to be. For the record, I believe the highest DUMAX-verified xmax is the 13W7 with 31cm (I think), which is roughly 1.2". A lot of drivers have their peak-to-peak numbers based on physical limits, not actual abilities, and I'm thinking that 2.81" is one of these types of numbers.

either way are u trying to use this for a Competition or daily driver? i hear these things take whatever power u can pretty much send to it.. but are meant for Comps not so good for daily setup

I was kind of just wondering. One of the things I like best about subs is watching that excursion. Like, I have this one song that has the most wicked bass I've heard of all the songs I know, and it's just so beautiful watching that woofer...
