Looking for a 40-42" tv for my bedroom, no real specific needs, just looking for best picture under $750.

Best bang for buck seems to be Amazon.com: Panasonic VIERA TC-L42E50 42-Inch 1080p Full HD IPS LED-LCD TV: Electronics

I am a huge samsung fan, and cant afford thier higher end, nor afford Sharp lol plus its just for the bedroom.

but the ips panel and backlighting feature on the pany is suppose to be real nice.

Usage will be TV, blurays movies, and occasional gaming and as pc monitor.

Panasonic will always be your best choice though Vizio is getting up there, for a budget model. Most people don't even know but Bang and Olufsen uses the same parts as a Panasonic TV on their $20,000 tv line.
