Anyone know of the old Savard 12inch subs from 1994?

1994 was the last time I had a stereo system in my truck and I had a rockford punch somethinganother amp and two 12inch Bill Savard subwoofers with polk audio mids/highs on a alpine amp.

Now that I am going to put a system into my new truck for the first time in years I don't know a whole lot about the new stuff, I stayed with the stuff I know like polk Audio mid/Highs, got a great deal on hifonics amp but anyway... I am looking for some subwoofers that will hit like the old Savard Subs did. Those things would slam, does anyone remember those subs and if you do, do you know of any subwoofer that will hit the way they did? As always thank you very much for your time and help.

I had a few pairs of them back in the day. Good subs for the time but their technology is super dated. You can find similar designs in even cheap *** sony xplodes or low line kicker subs.

You could probably get similar results from a pair of Kicker CVR's or some Rockford P1's..

Thank you that is good to know, I am sure that a sony Xplod will not hit like that Savard did back in the day though. With two 12" you could not breath in the truck. I have never heard a Sub hit like that. One of my friends has two 12" Sony Xplod and they are like a 6.5 mid bass compaired to what that Savard would do. It is bigger than a night and day difference between those two subs..

Thanks for the help though I was not sure what subs to get I have everything but the subs now and I will order 4ohm kicker CVR 10" Subs so it sounds like I will like them. I have never heard a Kicker before. So I was worried but if they will hit like the old Savards 12's (10 inch so lil less I know) then I am VERY happy with that. Thanks

BTW to the original poster, i've got video of 4 sony xplodes doing well over 150 db... they can get that loud, however they are about on the same technology / design level of old savards. You can choose to believe me or not.

90% install 10% equipment rule is for real.

yea because everyone values the actual monetary cost of it and can't picture it from a collector's point of view.
