When they were still being made after the Starlet was dropped from the Stateside Toyota lineup they were the smallest car sold by Toyota in the states. It was replaced by the Echo.

What exactly are you wanting to know about them? 1.5L I-4 engine, most had standard trannies and the ones that were auto were absolute dogs....wouldn't run out of sight in a week!

My buddy has a tercel.. its almost as bad as the Ricer i saw afew days ago with racing stickers and decals out the *** on a PRIUS Hybrid!

They are decent cars, get fair gas mileage for their size...

IF THEY ONLY HAD FUC KING OVERDRIVE... They would be gas mileage kings.

I'll take pics of my sister's tomorrow, because I put a kick *** system in it.

i have a 95 tercel and its the dreaded automatic, i just wanted to know if anyone knew how to get it to go a little bit faster...and if yall know about high output alternators for one.....i think they are just a myth

See if you can buy a junkyard alternator and get it re-wound for higher amperage...

As far as the speed you would probably be best off to save on gas with this car for awhile then buy a faster one later. They are a great platform for a system.
